Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for six pieces of information: gender, date of birth, coverage amount, term length, health status, and tobacco use. These answers alone are enough for carriers to provide rate quotes. Contact details are only collected if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The amounts shown are what each carrier quotes for the health class you selected in the tool. Your final premium is determined after underwriting, which may confirm, improve, or change that class. This site shows estimates for information only and is not an offer of insurance.

What happens when I click Apply?

You move into a secure online application on the carriers' platform, prefilled with your answers from the quote tool. You can pause and resume your application at any time. When complete, you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), manages all applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the coverage amount you choose, and your health answers. Many carriers now use accelerated underwriting for eligible applicants, deciding based on your application and background data without requiring an exam. Each quote shows whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.

Is a longer term better?

A term should match the years when your income matters most to your dependents: while a mortgage exists, while children are at home, while a business loan is outstanding. Longer terms cost more monthly but lock your rate in place longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms.

Does this site sell my information?

Not at all. The quoter takes no contact information, we do not monetize or share visitor data, and site analytics are cookie-free and respect Do Not Track. Our first-party measurement recognizes Global Privacy Control requests. We also use a content delivery network's cookieless page beacon that doesn't read Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control settings. Privacy page details everything.
